Good day!
Dear forum users, I have a trivial task, ask the Board /assistance. There is a collection of 13 Hanukkah candlesticks, the work of Israeli artists, bronze. Basically - the first half of the XVIII century, a few pieces - the end of the first half of the XVIII and XIX. Provenance: private collection of Maximilian Goldstein, one of the world's largest collectors of Judaica beginning of XX century. During the war, that part of his collection, which has not hit in the Lviv Museum of Ethnography dispersed in several private collections, in particular, these candlesticks - a collection of PO Krivoshei. Examination, journal publications with images, the conclusion of the Lviv Museum has There is a desire to sell this collection, with the whole, namely as a collection, which has not only historical and cultural, but also a ritual value. But there is no clear understanding of where and how it would be more correct to do: London /New York? Moscow International Salon? Jewish society? Also, as more or less reliably determine the actual cost today? Enter the auction houses to open the way, look for local experts who know the subject? Iudaku established markets in general, and, especially, at such unique items, of course, no. There is information that a few years ago for this collection predalagalas _ochen_ significant amount, but do not know how this information can be trusted. In general, Can you please tell how to approach the problem. Thank you! Best regards, Elrick |

Kirill
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I read everything. By the way, Goldstein's book in 1935, reproduced all of my 13 units. Of course I could be wrong, because the manufacturer said about Palestinian previous owner, and he seems - he Goldstein. But, based on the fact that he did not collect everything, but for reasons of either historical or artistic value items, we can assume that the candle could be brought on themselves, for example, of the same in Palestine. Or purchased during trips to Europe. Best regards, Elrick |

And described.
Read the description and I'm sure you will not see the items brought from Palestine. There, yes, there is what is brought from the RI, then from Poland, from the diaspora, in one word. |

Kirill, thanks again,
And you think that this (the place of manufacture) affects the actual value and, consequently, their value in today's market? And if so, how? Best regards, Elrick |

Elrick, I do not tend to overestimate just such Judaica.
Chanukia were in every Jewish home, and often not one. It's like the icon-in Russian. And just as among the icons, among them little raretetov. I say this, because the I-antiquary have any experience with this material and I got into the topic DPI Judaica. Even met with the rabbis ![]() ![]() |

Yes, I agree with you. But all the same, that tells you about the general approach to the question? In any case, this collection must have a value and its buyer. How to correctly determine the value and place of the buyer to search?
Thanks |

For the seller the most difficult. Look for similar items for sale, compare.
You can search for and through iternet okupateley. There are antique sites are different. |
