Altim, Veronic law. Many rich people (and goon, and those who are not one of them), Pts. well know how to count money. But there are also those who do not like. I paid the same Rustam Tariko $ 300 thousand for the fact that some sort of a flower named after his girlfriend Alena.
Let's talk about methods of promotion. This is an interesting topic. Example Gapchinskaya at the time took a bank loan to advertise their work in Russia's magazine Vogue. It is not PR, but it is advertised (That is why the example of Hurst is not appropriate. AX often uses indirect methods of promotion). If not mistaken, then it was the only artist in the CIS, advertised in glossy. Or am I mistaken?

In my opinion, the work Gapchinskoy were not designed for children and adults.
Compare them with naive things, say, Mary Prymachenko or children's book illustrations by artist remains (with the recent exhibitions) can not. This is quite adult market research, created to sell for big money, very competently "untwist", as we see, in general, solve the problems that are put before them. Only works perfectly here, I think, to do with it. It is simply a way of earning money, that kind of business. Some manufactures suitcases, some metal rolls, while others are drawing pictures.

Allena, it seems to me that not always and not everywhere it is possible to distinguish clearly between: creativity here, there earning. I'm sure that Eugenia quite seriously loves his little people. And make money too, can be creative. Is that right?

In glossy ads do not see anyone except her. Galleries - yes, there are, are advertised. A personalities, I sit now, I remember, but no-one does not float. It's strange. An example of its success is obvious. Why did not duplicate the scheme work? Frankly, I was genuinely surprised at the time, when I learned that her work have the price tags. The fact that they like people - more or less understandable. But the price segment, in which she climbed - it's fantastic. Done, of course, what can you say. Cache - is the king :-)

Altim, she once told me that at the dawn of her career touched some people, a potential buyer. Like, you can call on you in the studio, see? She replied that you can drop in and see nothing (at that moment, everything was dismantled). And then it became clear that prices should increase. To something left hanging. By the way, with a year ago in an interview she said she is going to take a loan to be advertised in the British Vogue!
