Nikitich Gorelov Gabriel (1880-1966).
Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1953).
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1947).
Stalin Prize winner of the third degree (1950) for the picture
"Noble steelworker factory" Hammer and Sickle "M.G.Gusarov with the team" (1949).
He graduated from Penza Art College (1903), studied at K.A.Savitskogo.
He continued his studies at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1903-11) at the Repin, and F.A.Rubo P.P.Chistyakova.
During training received 4 awards at competitions
Academy of Fine Arts for the picture: "Bells on the gun" (1906);
"Stepan Razin on the way to Moscow" (1907), "Mockery of heretics"
(1908), "Mockery corpse Ivan Miloslavsky" (1908).
Member of the Association of South-Russian Artists (1906-09).
He was in a mobile art exhibitions (1912-16).
He taught at the Kharkov Art College (1914). In 1920-27 years released a number of postcards with images of his paintings.
Since 1924 Member AHRR.
In 1924 he worked at the Museum of the Revolution.
In 1925-27 - the former head of the Museum of the Donskoi Monastery.
 In 1937-38 he taught at the Moscow Regional Art
Teachers College 1905.

Munich, the gold medal for his painting "Mockery heretics").

From 1911 he participated in exhibitions of the Wanderers.
