Orel , Vladimir Donatovich - landscape painter (1842 - 1914). He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts , A. Bogolyubov. Wrote sketches in the Crimea , Kiev province , and Finland. After receiving a gold medal in the Crimean species , worked for three years in Paris, Switzerland and Italy. In 1878 - became a professor of painting " haymaking ". Orlovsky picture is very diverse in content ( on a cloudy day , the winter moonlight , sunset, autumn flood , etc. ). Specialty him - open views of the forest. Marine species are remarkable detail picture of Orel more than color ( "Val" , 1888, owned by Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich ).
