LI Naumov was born in Moscow. In the years 1915-1919. student at the Stroganov TSHPU - the first free art workshops. In 1920-1925. studies in VHUTEMAS the textile department, since 1924 - at the theater.

He works in books, graphic, in posters, prints, designs exhibition. In 1932, enters into the Union of Soviet artists. Since 1938 participates in exhibitions, pavilions draws VSHV; zam.glav.hudozhnika VSHV. 1938-1941 years. -Designed productions of the Russian Drama Theatre and Youth Theatre in Minsk. 1941-1945. - Takes part in creating the film "Ivan the Terrible" by S. Eisenstein. 1954-1969 years. - Works as a costume designer on "Mosfilm" (the film "Murder on Dante Street", "The Cranes Are Flying", "Girls," "Idiot," "Unsent Letter", "Business People", etc.). 1969 - awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.

On Saturday, May 21 Leonid Shishkin Gallery will hold a traditional auction «Soviet classics» on Neglinnaya. At the auction will be presented over a hundred works of Soviet realist painting, as well as graphics 1920-1960.

Decoration of the auction will be a picture of Alexander Silin (1921-2010) "Over the Deep Space" in 1969 (estimate 350-400 thousand rubles), presented at the show « A week before the flight », held in Leonid Shishkin Gallery in April of this year.
Among the top lots of the upcoming auction - canvas «Activities» Honored Artist of Russia Goryunova Peter (1917-2006). In a bright and sunny picture of the painter was extremely accurately reproduce the vibrant South Beach. This work from the collection of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR is tentatively estimated at 250 -300 000 rubles.
