He graduated from the Kharkiv Art Institute (1923-29), where he studied under Mikhail Kazantsev, A. Coquelles, S. Prokhorova. Member of the Association of the creators of modern Ukraine, CW CFS since 1938. Member republican, union and international exhibitions since 1932. Personal exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1971.1997. He taught at HHI-HHPI since 1929, was its rector
