Doubts are minimal, since
Roman numeral month dating much typical for Russia.

There are many options, such as :: /Kleinenberg ...

gblindmann, why do not you show watercolor - the plot is not Russian?

I think that it might be a German artist August Philipp Henneberger 1902-1980

Those are - zdrasste!
From what-such fright?
Neither the initial or the first letter of the signature does not match, stylistically - heaven and earth.
When did this fright-- August Philipp Hennenberg?
Do you like the name?

And why not? Signature style and even very similar. The first letter of the surname may well be "H". May well be the initial "P" (Philipp), instead of " Augusta" why is colon. If you look at the date, 1923 is only the beginning of the creative ways do we have - " strost not joy ," and the young " reckless " - could be "a little subjects" (when dealing with the muse ) , here is some clumsiness signature , etc., etc. Do not insist that only offer a version.

Do you have another option, if you please, share ...

But you're right! Looked closely , removing the glasses, and the initial of something - indeed "P" ( or "W"). And the name - if no points - can ever be any.
However , while we frolic , the owner expects a clear answer ...
I've never seen such a signature .
