Mykola Zagrekov - Professor, Academician of the Italian Academy of Arts (1979), winner of Germany's highest award - Honorary Cross for services to the country (1979). He was awarded the gold medal of the Euro for their contribution to the arts and protection of culture (1980), winner of the "Palme d'Europe" (1986). His name is included in the list of VIP 800 prominent citizens of Germany, who have made significant contributions to the culture of the country.

1920-1930-ies - the period of artistic flowering Nicholas Zagrekov. He was a constant participant of exhibitions in Berlin, Paris and Vienna, teacher and director of the school of painting in Zimenshtadte, a member of the Union of Berlin Artists, a prominent representative of the direction of the "new reality of» (die Neue Sachlichkeit). From 1938 to 1944 was part of the "island group" of artists (Inselgruppe), among the participants that Karl Hofer, Max Pehshteyn, Ernst von Frisch and others.

depicted Nahtliht Ursula, the daughter of the famous German architect Leo Nahtlihta. Ursula attended the Professional School of Arts and Crafts, where he taught Nicholas Zagrekov. After the Nazis came to power, Ursula was forced to leave school, then she became a student at the private school of painting en plein air, led by friend and colleague Zagrekov Yegen Szpiro. After Spiro left Germany, the school was headed by Nikolai Zagrekov. Ursula's parents died in concentration camps, and the artist herself helped to emigrate to England.
