Boris Karafelov was born in 1946 near Tashkent. In 1969 graduated from Simferopol Art School. In 1969-76 he taught drawing at the Art school in Vinnitsa (Ukraine). In 1977-89 he taught painting in Moscow. Karafelov developed sketches of scenery and costumes for productions at the Taganka Theater (Moscow), Theater. Komissarjevskaya (Novochersk), Merlin Theater (Budapest), etc. In 1990 immigrated to Israel. In 1992 became the winner of the contest "Ish Shalom (Jerusalem). Karafelov - Member of the International Association of Art at UNESCO. His work is represented in the State Museum of Fine Arts.
