Stepanov, Alexander (1861-1911)
Lived and worked in St. Petersburg. In 1891 he graduated from the Imperial Academy of Arts. Exhibitors Arts and TYURH. In Odessa, presented the work at an art exhibition TYURH on spring exhibitions (1897 and 1902). Painter, animal painter. He painted genre works. The artist's works are available in the collection of the Odessa Art Museum, State Russian Museum, as well as in other museums and private collections. Artworks AN Stepanova sold on the Russian and Ukrainian auctions. Although the life of Alexander Nikolayevich Stepanov it did not spoil laudatory or critical articles of art, the work of the painter, draftsman, and watercolor are widely known and readily acquired by collectors and lovers of art.

It is known that AN Stepanov was a student of the Academy of Arts and in 1891 graduated from the scientific course. Then followed a tense during the two decades of work, the main result of which was widely distributed (in the geographical sense) works by the artist in the country. Nowadays Stepanova works can be found at museums and galleries in many of the regional centers of Russia.
