Default Who painted the plate?

Plate Myrgorod school Gogol's underwear Rosenthal.
What's the story, maybe with a copy of something?
Right under the hoof seen something like an autograph.

I can show the bottom plate, but the picture is still not clear what's under their mark, we had to look at the light.
Rosenthal is there, that's for sure.
Frankly speaking, I thought that it kobzar or Cossack with Kobza.
And there bukovki bottom right under the hoof.

Still, honorable audience believes that western style?
Cossack Mamay came into my head, but he loved to depict such as sitting under a tree ...
