Information about the artist:
Bogatkin Vladimir V. (1922-1971).
He studied in the studio A.I.Kravchenko (up to 1936).
In 1936-40 he studied at the art school at the Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad in A.D.Zaytseva, P.P.Kazakova, A.N.Liberova.
Later worked in the studio MV Nesterov.
In 1940-42 - the artist of the Central Theater of the Red Army.
In 1941-42 - in the front Brigade Theater. Vakhtangov.
In 1943-1958 he worked at the Studio of military artists. MBGrekov. Honorary grekovets.
He designed and illustrated books for Detgiz, Military Publishing, the publishing house "Young Guard", including "The hyperboloid of engineer Garin" ANTolstoy,
"Valkiny friends and sails" V.Krapivina, "The blue sea, white ship" G.Mashkina, "On a small island" G.Novogrudskogo, "Land of Caesar" A.Markusha.
Published a series of postcards with reproductions of his drawings:
in 1966 - "Tallinn" and "Yenisei - Siberian River" in 1968 - "The Seasons."
Member of shows - from 1939.

The work is very similar to etching, especially from afar.
However, if you look closely , you can see that it is mixed media. In my estimation - ink , black watercolor, white .
