Theoretically, it is likely that the picture will be bought for the museum by any patron or a bank, but in practice such purchases are rare.

Polenov famous for its wonderful scenery as well as paintings on Christian themes. The cost of his works, which do not often appear at auction, have long crossed the million mark.
