Default Auction "Russian and West European art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries," Nov. 12

At the auction Sovkoma November 12 will be on display 2 in VD Polenova (Lot 97, http://www.sovcom.ru/auctions/lot.ph...9&status = and Lot 98, http://www.sovcom.ru /auctions /lot....& status =). The question arises as lot 98 - Genisaretskoe lake. Cycle From the Life of Christ ". 1900 - e gg. Canvas, maslo.49h74. Signed lower right. Why are the experts of the auction house did not provide provenance for the work of this level (because the lower estimate of 16.5 million rubles) and assessment?

Personally, I very much doubt the authenticity of the two lots
Burliuk - 64
Sychkov - 90
In Burliuk gamma some unhappily. I did not see him such gloomy still-lifes.
And Sychkova, generally the person is not typical for Mordvin girls whom he always painted. And the smile of the girl kind of stretched
Yes, and plus everything no expertise on these works

uriart,
Agree unequivocally! Like having two paintings Sychkova and studied in detail his work, I can say that this is not even on Sychkov photos. Signed seen bad, but "C" is not typical for Sychkova likely signature made "on-dry" and especially a different color (not to be "light"), a girl, too, is not typical. Correctly said uriart, and the person is not typical, and a smile - grin, and a headscarf is not Mordovia. Even if this picture will claim expertise - it is not Sychkov.
And as with eBay Burliuk arrived ...

Natalina,
"Genisaretskoe Lake, in my opinion, no doubt just did not matter. Obviously this study similarity in the picturesque characteristics with many others, brought to them at that time from the East. Enough to even flip through catalogs.

The leitmotif of the discussion was not the price for now, but the lack of information on the top lot.

This is a disease of the auction house .. Discuss it makes no sense.

Generally speaking, really strange that a once a once things are set up for auction estimate: a rather big, well-known signatures, and the complete lack of provenance.
This train Polenov Still, it's not avant-garde and Socialist Realism, which can (theoretically at a stretch) arise out of nothingness, that is, the many reservists, zahoronok, attics, and other special funds are not entirely suitable for the storage of works of art creation.

Maybe it's this style? Respond to questions raised on the provenance of pre-auction showings?

Ignore the Internet?, But then why so much money invested in the promotion of its own site, and site ARTinvestment.RU major advertisers.
Statistics on the forum ARTinvestment.RU (more than 3000 visits per day), it's about how many people read them every day? And information on top lots .. zero style? Not done it yet ..
