Government decided the fate of CHA and the Tretyakov Gallery on the Crimean shaft

     RF Government has ordered to provide the Tretyakov Gallery on the Crimean shaft of the new building, after which it would leave the Central House of Artists. The relevant document, dated Nov. 28, received a leadership Tretyakov.
     In July, a new building for the gallery has been postponed indefinitely because of the crisis. However, in August, the head of the Moscow building complex Vladimir Resin has confirmed plans to build a new Tretyakov Gallery and the subsequent demolition of CHA.
     According to Director of the State Tretyakov Gallery of Irina Lebedeva, before the order of the Government's gallery did not know whether or not she go to the authorities asking for money for a major upgrade of the building on the Crimean shaft, or only on the means for maintenance. At the same time in the received document to the Tretyakov Gallery still does not specify any period of construction, or funding sources. According to Irina Lebedeva, construction will be financed by private investors, which will select on a competitive basis.
     According promulgated earlier draft of the new planning district on the Crimean shaft, a building for the Tretyakov Gallery will be located at the Garden ring. Meanwhile, in the Government states that the Moscow authorities should coordinate with the gallery and the Ministry of Culture is not only the architecture of the new building, but the project planning area.
