In 1918 - after receiving a bachelor's degree (matriculation) moved to Paris where he enrolled in the Academy Julian, but six months later decided to work independently. At this time he talked to Suzanne Valadon, Felix Lasko, Max Jacob, Charles-Albert Chingria, Raoul Dufy.
1920-21 - a trip to Algeria. Period of interest to oiterature and music.
