exhibition - two initiatives. One - long, mid-1960's, when Victor Tina made new tune with yourself and time shifting "Words". The second - modern: on the initiative of Boris Fridman, collector and connoisseur of livre d'artiste, with the participation of artist Victor Hoppe was made a rare in our country project - the preparation and publication of "Lay" in the format of the book artist in his full and high quality incarnation. This is a special area of art understood by the classics of the genre: publisher Ambroise Vollarom and Daniel Kanveylerom, Eugene and Albert Teriadom Skiri, artists Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro, Salvador Dali and Georges Rouault.

It was interesting, the exhibition is housed in three rooms.
- The first room - studio, there is shown the technological process of creating books, the creation of paper, illustrations, the process of creating lithographs.

- The second shows the book itself and in parallel is sound, the author's wife reads "The word ..."

A little about the history and business.
Initiator of this project - Boris Fridman, I know him 10-15 years. I respect as a businessman, and especially as a person. It's not often come across really decent people, especially in the business - he is one of them. His passion for books (he is a very serious collector, as he holds a book in his hands as telling them - in poetry) for me was unexpected and completely understandable. Before that attracted nonconformists and with many friends and dosih been on friendly terms. And the book, how much he spent on this project did not speak, as something still done on the enthusiasm, but some technologies just vozrazhdalis again. But on average, a similar project with some streamlined processing chain with a circulation of 50 pieces worth $ 80-100 tons.
He made 20 pieces. Half the edition is sold, the price of one book $ 3900. Expensive or not? Hard to say, can not compare, I know just a souvenir books in leather bindings with gold inlay around that kind of money, but it is not comparable things.

Why published "The Lay of Igor"? This project is made in memory of friend BM Friedman - Victor Tinaeve who wrote this piece back in the distant seventies. That's how the friendship is there and the memory.
