Here is an excerpt from an article about the actual little-studied period in the history of Ukrainian art: "The friendship of artists continued after graduation. Oleksa example Tretyakiv remained in close friendly relations with Vasil Krizhanivskim and Olexa Tretyakova. Bound them not only a love for art, community views, but also share the unenviable Ukrainian immigrants. About Krizhanivskogo we have already written a lot, but recently died in a hospital in Lvov. Why is it only about Olexa Tretyakova forgotten, although he was one of those very talented Ukrainians, who studied at the Cracow Academy. An excellent draftsman, extraordinary cultural artist, a virtuoso colorist. From Krakow Tretyakiv went to Paris, plunged into the maelstrom of modernist movement, but stayed his views on painting. In Paris, lived, suffered and worked in Paris and died. leaving behind a lot of pictures that may fall into the wrong hands. " (From an article Dam'yan Gornyatkevicha from the newspaper in Krakow News "for 1943.)

In 1932, the Paris gallery Leon Marseille was an exhibition organized by the artists of "Ukrainian group" in Paris and the Ukrainian National Museum in Lviv, which were shown famous Ukrainian works. This group probably included members of ANUM (Асоціації Square Українських Мистців), organized in Lviv: Oleksa Третяків, Severin Borachok. Michael Андрієнко, Clement Redko, Mikola Glushchenko Ємець Vasil, Vasil Hmelyuk, Oleksandr Lagutenko, Mikola Krichevsky, Volodymyr Savchenko Bielsko, Roman Turin, Vasil Перебийніс.
A pity that little information about this period. Perhaps there are memoirs and catalog of the exhibition. Maybe someone is preserved in the collection. |
