Artist Vladimir Vladimirovich Maslov was born in 1934 on the Volga, spent his childhood under the ancient city Calesini. In his youth worked as a Stoker, house painter, interior decorator. And even earlier - do-for-sale rugs and piggy. From early childhood all associated with painting, brushes, paints, even pencils, was his delight. In the native peasant edge it seemed very strange, and the artist was trying to get away from prying eyes - in fields, in woods. Since then, Nature has become an integral part of his life and art.

In 1970 landscapes Maslova were presented at the exhibition for the 100th anniversary of Lenin, the author received the diploma of the Union of artists of the USSR, and two years later, a tragedy happened all of his paintings were lost, and the astonished artist for many years and left the painting. To return to it helped the artist-painter Canons. It was then that the Maslov replaced the brush on the palette knife, tool, according to the author, is able to convey the drama of his attitude.

Vladimir Maslov - artist-nugget. His work is at the intersection of high professionalism and folklore. The texture of his paintings unusually bold, and poetics is realistic and does not extend beyond traditional genres: portrait, landscape, still life. He writes in an expressive manner, the space of his paintings filled with light and shadow, transmitting sensations of the elements - air, water, fire, earth, and glowing sharp line drawn spatula, making the plot of the drama and tension.

Almost half a century Maslov lives in the village of the White town on the Volga river, 150 km from Moscow. The proximity to the aorta Russia, the Volga, had an impact on his deep understanding, an intuitive feeling for the fate of Russia and of human nature; no wonder the artist house is just thirty metres from the river. A simple plot of paintings - shore "Russian Nile, Volga pine trees, haystacks in the snow, the streets of his native village - contains subtle spiritual component.

Many prominent figures of Russia and Europe have his paintings in their collections. Among them the President of the Russian Federation, Prime Ministers, diplomats, prominent artists.
