"The name of Yevgeny Vasilyevich Chuikova organically complements the context of the development of Ukrainian art mid-to late twentieth century. Like most of his contemporaries, the artist creatively grow and develop under the influence of the classical school of painting, which is based on interpretation of the implementation of a realistic manner. However, his works can hardly be called absolutely realistic. The master is always written from life, not just copy it, bringing the form and the image on the canvas, he was decorated with what he saw a rich palette of his imagination, which revealed a range of applications of paint. His compositions are elegant and space, but at the same time - and juicy tangible. It is thanks to a rich color works by the artist a bit beyond the understanding of the landscape as a classical art form. It is not by copying what he saw, and tells about it through the prism of his understanding and creative perception.
Born painter in the distant 1924. Before the war, visited the studio of art Zaporizhzhya Palace of Pioneers. The diligent student, he wanted to continue their education in art school. However, soon the Great Patriotic War, which forced instead of paints and brushes to take up arms.
After demobilization, the boy was lucky to meet with the teacher and mentor GS Kolosovsky, who played a prominent role in shaping the career of a young artist.
1950 was a landmark in many respects to Yevgeny Vasilyevich. It is currently held the first exhibition of works by the artist, and in 1957 he became an active participant in national art exhibitions.
