Morgun Mamontov was born in the city of Simferopol. He graduated from Kiev State Art Institute in 1973. Honored Artist of Ukraine (2004). Honored Worker of Arts of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (2000). Painter. Lives in the city of Simferopol. Chairman of the Union of Artists of the Crimea.
