Boris Mints exhibitor at MacDougall's
In the Moscow office of the auction house MacDougall's , an exhibition of paintings from the collection of businessman Boris Mints . This kind of prelude to the opening of a private museum collector, in which you will see his collection as a whole - and not only. In the Moscow office of MacDougall's presented two dozen paintings of renowned artists from the end of XIX and to the mid-twentieth century . Among them, there are things both eminent and outstanding - for example , the night "Venice" by Boris Kustodiev. Or great works of artists previously considered " second series " - as airy and sunny , " Window to the Garden" by Nikolai Bogdanov -Belsky . Or small sketch of the "first name " - Konstantin Korovin , Vasily Polenov and Valentin Serov . Or just good work of artists who continued the same tradition in the Soviet period - George Savitsky and Dmitry Nalbandian . All together, this " Russian Impressionism " thing just as incredible and equally beloved and tenacious people as " Soviet champagne " or " Armenian cognac ." Nevertheless (or perhaps because of the above ) exhibition leaves the impression harmonious and positive . As director of the auction house Catherine McDougall ( which suits at the second show of a private collection , the first time it was a bronze sculpture from the collection of David Yakobashvili ): " Popular now curator of the exhibition , composed as a mosaic or Lego . And on such a show like ours, feel Collector's personality , because collection - it cast the soul collector . " Fully rich collection of Boris Mints, you will see in the next year : the opening of the private Museum coming Russian impressionism. It is located in one of the historic buildings of the former candy factory "Bolshevik" , which reconstructs Boris Mints now . "Once this round building stored flour and powdered sugar - said collector. - It will be completely redone inside designed by English architect bureau John McAslan. We hope to blockbuster exhibitions, and equipping the premises must comply with international requirements . " Besides its own collection of paintings by Boris Mints in his museum is supposed to show other collections - many private collectors have already given their consent . Boris Mints is not going to look beyond Russian Impressionism and planning exhibitions of contemporary Russian artists (he, for example , likes to work Valery Koshlyakov ) . Will and museum projects - for example, there is an agreement with the National Gallery of Slovenia , negotiations with Bulgarian colleagues . Opening of the museum, which will not only be a huge exhibition space , but also a movie theater and education center , scheduled for 2015 . http://www.kommersant.ru/doc/2437111 |
