Until 2009, the world did not know the photographer Vivian Maier.
Vivian Maier, born in 1926 in New York but grew up in Paris by returning to their homeland only in 1951, aged 25 let.Kakoe while she worked in a candy store, and then for 40 years as a nurse, 14 of them from one family. 2007, Chicago. John Maloof - 26 year old guy that runs a real estate agent, wrote a book about the residents of Chicago.

In fact, in several boxes he finds around 100,000 negatives and undeveloped film medium format. When he started to scan them, he caught his breath. The negatives were turned into great photographs of the genre of street photography, which were filmed in the 60's and 70's. Finally, one of the boxes John found the name of the photographer - Vivian Maier. Having been engaged in searching for the photographer John went first to one family which lived Vivian, then another. One of the families referred to a collection of her personal belongings - a suitcase with clothes, boxes of newspaper clippings, photos and manifest her photo equipment. In particular the very chamber "Rolleiflex" in which she took off almost all subjects. Just got John'u photo books, other photographers who studied Vivian.
The next day, after John posted some photos and history at the prestigious blog about street photography, he has received about 200 proposals to make an exhibition or a documentary about Vivian and her stories.
