Biography
[Present. Fam. - Efimova, p. 25. VII (6. VIII). 1897] Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1958). In 1926 she graduated from the theater department VHUTEINa (student of FF Fedorovsk and AV Lentulova). In 1927-28 - Artist Theater, 2nd in 1929-33 - "Blue Blouse". Already in the first paper S. - the design of the play "The Break" (1931, T-r them. Kupala) - to show the features typical for all subsequent creative artist: the clarity and brevity of compositions, the use of architectural forms and stage space, poetry, colorful scenery. Sh was chief designer of the Moscow Circus (1935-37), the Moscow Drama Theater (1946-57).

Designed the play: "Sedov" Podolsky (1938, Tuz-state prices), "Comedy of Errors" by Shakespeare (1939, Moscow. T-r them. Bauman), "The Spaniards" Lermontov "Chapaev" on Furmanov (1942, Astrakhan Theatre for Young People) "Baltic Deputy" Rakhmanov (1946), "The Beggar and the Prince" Mikhalkov ("Tom Canty," 1949). "Blue Porcelain" Grigulis (1949), "Eve of the Storm" Malyarevsky (1951), "Without naming names," Minko (1953), "Intrigue and Love" (1955), "Mr. dead" Nusic (1956), "All My Sons "Miller (1957) - all in Moscow. dramas. r-re, "A Month in the Country" Turgenev (19.45, Volgograd m-p), etc.
