Dear forum users!

Help please to attribute a very rare full (10 works) a series of drawings by Alexander Degas to the drama. I very much want to find out the name of this production.

Degas-talented successor of the school Bakst and Goncharova was born in St. Petersburg March 16, 1890 and during the revolution had fought in the White Army in the gene. Denikin. He emigrated first to Switzerland and then to Italy. During the communists - of course was taboo. Yes, probably like everyone who was against the authority of councils.

I would be grateful for your substantive comments.

The sites for your attention to find a few links (below).

http://www.samisdat.com/5/23/523f-avr.htm Alexander Degas number 14 in the list of members of the Masonic lodge "Aurora" in Paris in the 30s.

Thank you for your attention

I would be grateful for your substantive comments.

operator, looked at the inscriptions on the sheets and the first thing that came to mind, costumes for the opera in LA. Beethoven's "Fidelio" on the play, JN Buyi "Leonore, or Conjugal Love.
Try searching in this direction. But it certainly is not ballet.

Thank you,

Looking for the opera in LA. Beethoven's "Fidelio" on the play, JN Buyi "Leonore, or Conjugal Love.

You know Cyril, throughout the full list of actors from this opera, I found only two (2) matches Floristan and Fidel:

The first performance (under the name "Leonora") on November 20, 1805. Vienna. After considerable processing resumed in the new edition of 22 May 1814.

Characters:
Florestan - tenor
Leonora, his wife, hiding
under the guise of young Fidelio - soprano
Don Fernando, minister - bass or baritone
Doi Pizarro, head of the prison - baritone
Rocco, the prison warden - bass
Marceline, his daughter - soprano
Jacquinot, a prison keeper - tenor
The prisoners, officers, soldiers, guards, people. The action takes place in Spain.

But Degaya I do not find in the lists of artists! It is unfair like that! And what is your opinion on these works?

Operator, your case was complicated, and the answer I did not prepare you. But the Spanish inscription "corpo de baile" was removed from Italy and led to Argentina, GDA your hero in 1955, was active in the theater.
But still can not help but notice that his schedule had nothing to do with Bakst and Goncharova. Do not offend the classics. Carabinieri and the Ethiopians he succeeded better, completely in the tradition of the nineteenth century. Very archaic artist. I think in the theater was appreciated as retrospektivista. By the way, and worked in the cinema.

Cyril Syzransky, how can one not ballet, when "corpo de baile"? (You are me. Of course, remind Walpurgis Night. - Op. Persidok Faust or dance.) We can agree on the operetta. But it seems strange that the lady singing in the drawers, it's still a stylized ballet costume. While not guess that it will not have all the answers. The costumes of different decades, with an eye to the tradition of the history of theatrical costume. Judging by the Ethiopians and the carabinieri, he knew the history of costume, it was his direct line of profession. And the history of theatrical costume, too - it is clear that Kyarina back to Bakst (not in the sense of schools and quality).
Operator, revealed an old man born in 1923 Argentina, who studied with Alejandro Degai, but the letter to him is not gone, probably already dead, but it would be told everything.
