MOSCOW, September 1 - RIA Novosti. nonconformist artists Dmitry Plavinsky, whose works are in major museum collections in the world, died on the 76-year life, RIA Novosti reported the press service of the Shchusev Architecture Museum.

Russian painter, one of the major artists of the Moscow "non-art", was born April 28, 1937 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Art School in 1905.

After graduating, the artist had a lot of travel around the country, including those in Central Asia, where he painted murals for a living homes of local residents, then based on his travels, he created a series of "Skull and the Koran" and the subject "Asia. City of the Dead." His first solo exhibition was opened in 1960 at the home of Elijah Tsirlina art, where the famous collector George Kostakis acquired his work "Screaming fish." After that, work began to attract attention Plavinsky other collectors painting. In particular, Nina Stevens - from her collection was assembled exhibition, which was held in 1967 in New York at the Museum of Modern Art. It presented two dozen works Plavinsky, three of which were acquired by the museum.

Most of all Plavinsky fame as an artist, nonconformist artists are different from the official Soviet socialist realism. Sign for the nonconformist is the so-called "Bulldozer Exhibition" in Belyaevo, which was suppressed by the authorities. After it opened an exhibition in the Central House of Artists, in which, in particular, involved Oskar Rabin, Vladimir Nemukhin himself Plavinsky. After it in the press followed openly negative remarks about the work of artists who have decided from now on to carry out apartment exhibitions. Yet a year later, in 1975, the pavilion "Beekeeping" at ENEA initiated Plavinsky Nemukhin and was officially authorized a small exhibition of the works of twenty authors.

In 1975 he became a member Plavinsky and permanent participant of the Moscow City Committee of the graphs in the Little Georgia Street, which consisted of many avant-garde artists.

From 1991 to 2004 he lived and worked in New York, the last few years - in Moscow.

Plavinsky work are in the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum of Fine and others.
