Nikolai Stepanovich Troshin born May 5, 1897 in Tula. Studied from 1913 to 1918 in the Penza Art School under the leadership of NF Petrov and IS Goryushkino - Sorokopudova.

In 1918-1920 he entered in the Higher Art, is engaged in the workshop II Mashkov. In 1918 Troshin participates in the exhibition of paintings, sculptures and art industry in the city of Ryazan, which exhibited 25 of his paintings.

In 1920-1922 gg Nicholas Troshin lives in Ryazan, where he teaches in the working art studio, puts the artist and filmmaker 4 play, deals decorating activities.

Together with his wife O.K. The artist created a series of children's books. Wrote the book "Composition in Photography" (M., "Spark", 1929,).

From 1930 to 1941, is the head designer of the magazine "USSR in Construction", in 1937 at the World Exhibition in Paris, the magazine awarded the "Grand Prix".

During these years, NS Troshin authored project design and main artist exhibitions: "Five-Year Plan in four years" (1931), "the first five years of the Victory" (1932), the Press Department of the Soviet pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris (1937,), Ryazan hall at the Agricultural Exhibition (1939). In 1954-1959, the department prepares exhibitions: "Electronics and Communication" (Exhibition), "Higher education in the USSR" (New York), "Moscow socialist" (Museum of History and Reconstruction of Moscow), "Fighting for Peace" (Chief Pavilion ENEA), works in the book drawing.

In 1967 he participated in the group exhibition, the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution.

From 1968 to 1989 were 8 solo exhibitions NS, Troshina in Moscow and other Russian cities.

Troshin Nicholas died in Moscow in 1990
