The tragedy of the figure, which has been neither society nor the family can see the personality of the emperor and his role in the history of the Russian state formed out of stamps and historical anecdotes, but due to the ever-pressing problem of management, the boundaries of power, conflict, and governor of the society.

Details of his domestic and foreign policy, which caused discontent of the Russian nobility, relationships with family, the protection of the Order of Malta, the urge to chivalry and mysticism, a tragic death - all of the board and the person of Paul I will be covered extensively on the opening exhibition, which will occupy 9 halls of the Great Palace .

He introduced the country's military-police regime of censorship and fierce, and at the same time, returned from exile Radishcheva Novikova, Kosciusko, marked the beginning of the base and the University of Dorpat Pavlovsky Military School (a school for orphans), Pugachev pardoned.
