Exhibition "World Press Photo 2009" was held at the Red October to the end of June, and almost all of July. Go on a report a little later, but it works really good and worth to be laid out in this forum

Every year an independent international jury, consisting of 13 professional photographers and photo editors media, evaluates the work of candidates in 10 different categories submitted by photojournalists, agencies, newspapers and magazines from all over the world. This competition was attended by 5 508 professional photographers from 124 countries. The jury have looked 96 268 images.

Thus the international jury awarded the awards in Amsterdam 62-m photographers from 27 countries. Among the winners of three Russian photographer: Yuri Kozyrev, Alexander and Alexey Taran Bushov.

First place went to American photographer Anthony Suo a photograph depicting the effects of the mortgage crisis in the United States. I recall that last year won first place as an American photographer Tim Hetherington for the photograph otdyhyuschego soldier during combat operations in Afghanistan.

What I personally like about this show, is that from year to year with the help of these photographs to draw public attention to pressing issues and patient issues. Journalists doing their job. But what is interesting is not just reportage photography, where you just need to fix an event for history. One feels the hand of the photographer, his attitude to what is happening. Therefore, the combination of reportage and artistic photography is partly admirable.
