In the Kremlin for the first time expose contemporary art

In the Moscow Kremlin will be exhibited work of British sculptor Henry Moore, reports The Art Newspaper. According to the representative of the Fund Moora Anita Feldman (Anita Feldman), the first contemporary art will be exhibited in the Kremlin wall.
Feldman said that the director of the Kremlin Museums Elena Gagarina came to him in the Fund a year ago. Gagarina like a collection of Moore's, and she suggested that cooperation, in particular - to organize the exhibition in Moscow.

Originally it was planned that Moore's sculpture will be in the Kremlin in 2011, but then the show was rescheduled for 2012. According to Feldman, now the Moscow museum workers decide what scale exhibition they can afford, and where exactly in the Kremlin will be installed sculpture.

In addition, the work of Henry Moore will be on display at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, wrote The Art Newspaper. It is about 75 drawings, which Moore created in 1940-41, respectively, during the "London Blitz, when Nazi Germany bombed Britain. Then the studio was destroyed and Moore, and he had to switch from sculpture to drawing.

The exhibition will be held in 2011 and will be dedicated to the 70 th anniversary since the start of the siege of Leningrad. According to Feldman, Moore painted bomb shelters, and the Hermitage during the war years was also used in this capacity. In addition to drawings bring to St. Petersburg and eight sculptures Moore - five for the premises of the Winter Palace, and three for the court.
