I visited today on the pre-auction show. Place display - Historical Museum, Red Square.
Press is full, everyone is interested in art with terrible force. The first speaker was Mikhail Kamensky gene. director of Sotheby's Russia CIS. He said that the news broadcast that the crisis was over and everyone is interested in one question: whether he graduated in the art business? He pass a spectacular paused and said: "In our opinion he did not begin!" - About as. No Comments - triumph of the public. And I remembered something his speech last spring, where he caught up with this fear: and that the crisis is rampant, and there are Russian art and remained a small-town, etc. etc. which implied that at least everything is bad, but as a maximum - terrible. He played vividly and convincingly. And now there - all in order. And here I agree with him especially after the price of 27 Antique Salon. After him came Lord Poltimor - deputy. prev. Board of Sotheby's Europe. He expressed his enthusiasm and optimism. The market, they say, gives reason to hope for very high results. 1. Presser 2. On the morning saw all alive. Wow not impressed - probably need a special educated eye. For the layman - the usual yuvelirka, beautiful baubles.
It was interesting to observe how the reporters are preparing to television reports. Teach speech, rehearsing, worry invent moves (wear white gloves to touch the jewelry). On the screen it seems that everything is easy, impromptu - an no. As part of the art vpechtatlenie produced graphics Grigorieva (Faces of Russia) and Reclining Nude, Zinaida Serebryakova. |
