In 1960 he graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts.

He worked in all genres of painting , monumental and decorative art , tapestry.

Since 1964, the Belarusian Union of Artists.

Since 1992 - People's Artist of Belarus.

Laureate of the State Prize of Belarus (1980, 1996).

Skorina Medal (1993).

A.Kischenko works are in the National Art Museum , the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Minsk, the funds of the Belarusian Union of Artists, the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
