Biography:
In 1871, he entered the Academy of Arts as an auditor. He studied at the MK Klodt. He received medals: in 1873 - 2 and 1 silver; in 1876 - silver. In 1878, for the painting "Morning" was awarded a small gold coin. In 1879 he graduated from the Academy with the title of artist of the first degree and the right to a pensioner's trip. From 1880 to 1884. traveled the cities of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. During this time created a large number of field sketches, written under the influence of French artists. In 1885. awarded the title of academician "for art and excellent knowledge of landscape painting." Since 1888, he taught at the Drawing School OPKh. As a member of the Society and OPKh Kuinji. In Russia, the favorite topic of the artist types are Moscow and St. Petersburg. Much of the heritage of the artist's landscapes are the southern Crimea, Caucasus, Southern France and Italy.
