Selling (wisely) image Kibrik EA by Charles de Coster's novel "The Legend of Ulenshpigele" 1938 27H23 watercolor on paper.
Kibrik Eugene Adolfovich (1906, Voznesensk - 1978, Moscow). People's Artist of the USSR (1967), full member of the USSR HL (1962). Winner of USSR State Prize (1948). In 1922-1925 gg. studied at the Odessa Institute of Fine Arts at PG Volokidina and TB Frayerman, then at the Academy of Fine Arts (1925-1927) in Leningrad. In 1927-1930. was one of the most active members of the established P. Filonov association "Masters of Analytical Art" (MAI). Since 1953 he has taught at the Moscow Art Institute. VISurikova (Professor since 1954). The most significant graphic cycles Kibrik belong to a series of romantic illustrations for Cola Bryunonu R. Rolland (1934-1936), The Legend of Ulenshpigele Sh.de Coster (1937-1938), Taras Bulba Nikolai Gogol (1943-1945) and Russian Heroic bylinas (1948-1950). His works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, in many museum collections in Russia. |
