In the Gallery of Arts Zurab Tsereteli (Prechistenka, 10) an exhibition director and screenwriter inertia Salem "Under the roof of Paris. In Moscow for the opening of the coming French star: Iner Salem and actress Mylene Demongeot (Russian viewers, it is known as the girlfriend of the hero, Jean Marais from "Fantomas").

Curator Maria Gadusi said in an interview that "The idea of this exhibition was a long time - more than two years ago. I met with inertia in the beginning, as with the director. Then, arriving in Paris, came to visit him and found that on the walls hang paintings. We have the idea to make the exhibition, and the catalyst was the Year of France in Russia and the Week of French Cinema ... Salem began to paint before the film, and in many ways it has helped to form: painting helps to build the frame. The curator believes that painting Salem, full of sensual images, has little to do with his life, probably referring to the world of fantasy and perspectives of those.

Look on the paintings and graphic works of Salem, which he created in the past 20 years (the latter was completed just a few days) will be up to 11 July.

- Russia - one of those countries that really attracted me. I travel a lot in his films. Unfortunately, I am in Russia not as often as I wanted. Russia - a country of great writers and artists. And to come here with the exhibition, to be either too naive or too arrogant (laughs). There's so many of their talents. Among my favorite artists - a Russian who was a Frenchman, - Marc Chagall. And I'll tell you now that no one had never said: it is possible, the effect of my next film will take place in Russia ... For me, this show means a lot more because in Paris, I allowed myself to exhibit their paintings only once, when he was a student. I have exhibited in Berlin, Stockholm, Italy. Then - stopped. Just because the painting has become for me something of a mistress, which are carefully guarded and hidden from all. And, thanks to Masha Gadusi, my "mistress" now you see and you, too. Incidentally, one of the paintings in the exhibition "Meeting", written in 2009, belongs Mylène Demongeot. When she saw it, it wanted at any price to have it, and - I gave her the job.
