Lieutenant. Volnoprihodyaschy of the Academy of Arts. (Retired Art Encouragement Society). Polydore I. Babayev successfully combined military service with his father. He was a second lieutenant of artillery, served in the Caucasus in Tbilisi. During his stay in St. Petersburg as a pensioner Society for the Encouragement of Arts student was enrolled volnoprihodyaschim Academy of Arts, where he and a KP Bryullov. Although PI Babayev became known as the author wrote watercolor "Portrait of PP Gnedich" (1844), now kept in the Russian Museum, the subject of his next work more organically to the artist.
