The Italians and Spaniards called Domenico Teotokopuli Greco, under this name he went into the history of art. Needless nicknamed El Greco came from mixing the two languages, because in Italian it was supposed to sound like Il Greco, and in Spanish - El Griego. Even this fact is indicative of an unusual fate for an artist, a native of Crete, which emerged in Italy and in Spain, who found not only a second home, but the soil most favorable for the development of the brilliant flowering of his talent.

Most of the life of an artist held in Toledo. But before we come to the Iberian Peninsula, he worked for many years in Italy. El Greco's worldview shaped by the country's most developed humanistic culture. Of course, that his attitude to art was more independent than in contemporary Spanish painters. Works by El Greco, written on religious subjects, imbued with philosophical reflections on the fate of people. In the created images he synthesized his ideas about human characters. Sublime spirituality of images, mystical exaltation brings the art of El Greco with Mannerism and expresses the crisis state of the art culture of the late Renaissance.

On the life of El Greco is known very little information about him are scarce and fragmentary. We do not know any of his authentic self-portrait, for all his images, including portrait, presented on the main page, supposedly.

Subsequent generations have betrayed the art Toledo Wizard oblivion until the beginning of XX century. Time is not only erased the name of El Greco's art history for several centuries, but also destroyed a reminder of him in the city where he spent most of the artist's life: the grave with the ashes of El Greco's gone, the palace of the Marquis de Vileny, where he lived, was destroyed. In 1915, E. Prampolini publishes manifesto "A futuristic set design and choreography» (Scenografia e coreografia futurista) and in the same year began working as a theater artist and designer of theatrical costumes. Particularly fruitful for the artist was the period since 1920, when he worked for the Roman Teatro del Colore. In the 20's, during his first trip abroad, met in Weimar, with the artistic direction of the Bauhaus and one of its theorists Theo van Duisburg. During that same trip met with Vasily Kandinsky, Al Lisitsky, Paul Klee, Oskar Schlemmer, Piet Mondrianom and other prominent artists of this period, attempting to create a painting of a special design-geometric language of forms for the drawing.

E. Prampolini starts cooperation with the art magazine "De Style" and wrote several articles for him. He was late 10-ies is actually a supporter of futuristicheko-geometric construction of tracks, which is typical for members of the second wave of Italian Futurism. In issued in 1923 together with Ivo Pannaggi (1901-1981) and Vinicius Paladin (1902-1971), "Manifesto of the mechanical art» (Manifesto dell'arte meccanica futurista) artist finds grounds for a new art mechanical elements originating from the world of machines, extols the dynamics and rhythm inherent in the mechanisms.

With the coming to power in Italy, Mussolini's E. Pramolini, like many other artists, futurists, supports the new regime. In 1932 he, together with Gerardo Dottori, Mario Sironi and directs and performs in the futuristic design of the grandiose "Exhibitions fascist revolution» (Mostra della Rivoluzione Fascista) in Rome.

In the museum of the revolution, equestrian portrait has the size of a helipad. Photograph, unfortunately, failed. Not only is not allowed with cameras, but in general, foreigners are only available two rooms of the two dozen. In one room there are portraits and photographs of Kim Il Sung, in the other - brought from the forest stumps with anti-Japanese slogans.
