Department of the FSB in St. Petersburg and the Hermitage blocked the attempt of theft of items from the Museum's collection.
As the press service of the Hermitage, in January 2015, the staff of the Scientific library of the Museum during a routine check of the library on the 5th floor was found that in some editions there is no number of photos, illustrations and prints.
Later, law enforcement officers and the Hermitage was able to install the library employee who has committed theft, and home sales values.
"February 12, suspected of committing acts of vandalism and theft was arrested, stolen photos, illustrations, prints were found and taken to return to the library", - said the press service. The Museum did not elaborate on what the publications in question.
