He studied at the College of Baron Stieglitz (1916-1918), at the VKhUTEMAS in I. Mashkov, N. N. Kupriyanov, V. A. Favorsky (1919-1923). He was a member of the Association of workers of revolutionary poster (1931-1932). From 1932 participant of exhibitions. Did sketches of the people's ornaments, costumes and household items Kursk and Orel provinces. The author of several children's books and illustrations to them (together with N. With. Troshina). From 1932 he worked mainly in watercolor, created a series on the theme of pioneer life and portraits. In 1943 he held a joint exhibition O. Deineko and N. Troshina in Moscow.
