Born October 13, 1906 in the village Dubasischi Smolensk province .
Childhood and adolescence spent in the Far East in Khabarovsk, where he graduated high school and college teaching .
In 1925 he began working as a school teacher . For obvious abilities in drawing was sent to study in Moscow , where he survived.
In 1926 he enrolled in VHUTEMAS . His teachers were
A. Osmerkin , AV Shevchenko , K. N. Istomin , AA Labas ,
SV Gerasimov .
VHUTEMAS graduated in 1930.
Since 1931 began to participate in art exhibitions . Also worked as an illustrator in publishing ? Young Guard ? and ? Peasant newspaper ? .
In 1932 he joined the Ministry of Agriculture .
In 1936 he studied at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the studio artists BV Johanson.
C 1939 to 1949 taught at MSHSH MGAHI . VI Surikov.
From 1949 to 1954 he taught at the Moscow Art Studios for invalids of the Great Patriotic War , and where he was director.
From 1954 to 1984 he taught at the moss memory 1905 .
In 1967 he was awarded the Order of Honour for his fruitful teaching.
Member of Moscow, republican , union and international exhibitions.
In 1969 he held a personal exhibition in Moscow.
State awards and awards from the Union of Artists .
In 1974 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia.
Died in Moscow on January 13, 1986 .

Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the museums and private collections in Russia, England, France, Italy, USA, Japan and other countries .
