MOSCOW, May 21 - RIA Novosti. The exhibition "Treasures of the Ottoman Sultans" will be held in the Moscow Kremlin Museums - Exhibition Hall of the Assumption Belfry and the One-Pillar Chamber of the Patriarch's Palace - from May 26, August 15, 2010, Mr.., Said in a press release the organizers of the exhibition.

"The exhibition continues a multi-year program of" Royal and Imperial treasures in the Kremlin and is world-famous collection of of the Museum of Topkapi Palace (Istanbul), formed on the basis of the richest treasures of the Ottoman sultans. The most valuable collection of specimens Topkapi Palace are subjects of weapons, podnesennye a gift to the sultan, or performed on their personal request. According to Russian experts, the miniature depicts GB Vasilchikov posted by Ivan the Terrible with a diplomatic mission to Persia.

"All presented examples of Ottoman art of weaving - Sultans apparel, items of women's and children's clothing - is part of the collection of tissue Topkapi Palace Museum, which is famous for its diversity and preservation of artifacts", - stated in a press release.

Much of the Topkapi Palace - three hundred rooms - was Harem: the sultans lived there, their mothers, sons, daughters, wives and slaves. The exhibition presents a portrait of the famous Roksolana or Hjurrem-Sultan: it will remind visitors of the role of this extraordinary woman in the history of the Ottoman Empire, a captive in the Ukraine and transferred to the Ottoman palace as a concubine. Roksolana not only managed to win the love of the Sultan, and become his lawful wife, but also played an important role in the political affairs of the country. It is possible that Turhan Sultan - the mother of Sultan Mehmed IV-had Russian roots: her pearl print can be seen at the Moscow exhibition.

Jug with two noses

Pitcher pear-shaped like Chinese porcelain vessels. The body consists of two parts with large profiled scenes. Side buckles, two spout curved ends, the bottom rim and chain made of gold. Portraits of the Sultans Mustafa Ahmed I and I

Grand coat

Satin patterned brocade fabric, cotton, taffeta.

Coat with short sleeves and a decorative buckle made of red satin with applique of plungers brocade fabric. Applicative pattern consists of images of double crescents and tulips on a short stalk, with wavy leaves. According to museum records, this coat belonged to Sultan Murad III (1574-1595).

Jug has a classical form. Exaggerated, wide body, narrow neck, the handle in the form of a dragon, domed lid decorated with flat polished rubies in gold castes in the form of floral rosettes. The surface between the rosettes inlaid curly thin gold leaves and stems. Gold Rim lid is decorated with unusually thin enamel patterned with motifs of tulips, hyacinths and carnations, white, yellow, blue and green colors. On the inside of the mouth of the mug handwriting issued a verse from the Quran: "And their Lord will give them a sip of clean water."
