Sergei Ivanovich Kalmykov (October 6, 1891 - April 27, 1967 ) - Russian and then Soviet Kazakh painter , illustrator, designer, writer. Russian avant-garde artist , the only one of the masters of the Silver Age, who lived to the end of the sixties. Kalmykov works have no direct parallel in the history of world art. In the course of his artistic career Kalmykov developed an original style of painting, sometimes referred to as " fantastic expressionism ."
