Information: Mariya Yakunchikova (1870, Wiesbaden, Germany - December 27, 1902, Shen-Buzheri, near Geneva, Switzerland) - Russian painter. Father - Vasili Yakunchikov, known at that time entrepreneur and philanthropist, commerce adviser, elected Moscow merchants, and the Moscow stock exchange company. Mother - Zinaida - nee Mamontov. Mary became involved in painting as a child, for her father was invited to study the artist Nikolai Avenirovich Martynov. In 1882, her sister Natalia married artist VD Polenov. In 1885 he became Yakunchikova volnoslushatelnitsey Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In 1894 Yakunchikova left the academy, rented a studio and began to work independently, displaying their works in Paris Salone.Chleny association "World of Art" Yakunchikovu invited to participate in exhibitions and published by their magazine.
