One of the founders of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Architects.
Born in St. Petersburg. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (class of L. Benoit). In 1900 one of the best graduate of the architectural design was awarded a pensioner's trip to Italy. Trip report acquired architectural museum of the Academy. Bright page of his work was the construction of the Maritime Library in Kronstadt. Together with his brother VA Kosyakova, the architect of the Holy Synod, was involved in the construction of the Kronstadt Naval Cathedral, which became the architectural centerpiece of the city.
In St. Petersburg, survived several buildings that were built with the assistance of GA Kosyakova. The most famous - the building on the corner of the Noble Assembly of the Italian and Malaya Sadovaya street (joint brothers Kosyakova - Vladimir, Basil, George, made in 1912-1914.).

From 1917 to 1923 GA Kosyakov worked as a painter-decorator in Theatre. He participated in plays out: opera - "Rienzi" by Richard Wagner, "Rigoletto" by Verdi, "Faust" by Gounod, drama - "The Inspector" by Nikolai Gogol, "Boris Godunov" by Alexander Pushkin and etc.
