Information about the artist:
Sergei Vasilievich Koltsov (1892 - 1951)
He studied at the Stroganov School of Industrial Art (1907-1916) have N.A.Andreeva, T.P.Pashkova, St. V.Noakovskogo, graduated with a diploma from an artist of the first degree and a gold medal.
Member of the Board, Chairman of the Section sculptors AHRR (1926-1929).
Since 1932 - Member of the Board Section MOSSKH sculptors,
in 1941-48 - Chairman of the Section of sculptors.
In the 1930s and 40s he worked on a number of figures for the building of the Dag Hammarskjöld Library. Lenin
20-meter high relief for the Agricultural Exhibition in Moscow, has created a sculptural group for the Metro.
During the Second World War - the restoration of the figures of Terpsichore, and Flying genius on the facade of the Bolshoi Theatre (1941-43).
He taught at the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (1945-51), Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty
