The exhibition "The bright world ..." in Veliky Novgorod

in the halls Novgorod Museum of Fine Arts Museum (Sofia Pl., 2)
will open the exhibition «That bright world ...» of the Moscow artists Valentina Mikhailovna Diffine Christi (1918-2010) and Tatiana Alexandrovna of Orange (1914-1980).

The exhibition features about 50 works of VM Diffine Christi in such genres as landscape, still life, portrait and more than 70 paintings and drawings, TA Orange.

B. M. Diffine Christi (1918 - 2010)

Pupil Gerasimov, bright representative of the Moscow School of Painting, Diffine Christi was formed as an artist back in the prewar years. On the creative period, she was strongly influenced by her husband, Yevgeny Diffine which the same Gerasimov described as the "main korovinista" the traditions of the great Russian painter Konstantin Korovin. Unfortunately, the early death in Samarkand in the evacuation was interrupted by his brilliant but short career.

After long searching, to the 60s of last century Diffine Christi is a unique and well-recognized style: light, airy, as if dissolved in a fantastic mirage, and almost absorbing subject outlines

 T. Oranskaya (1914 - 1980)

TA Oranskaya - an artist whose name did not sound arrogant among converters art, breaking the tradition and fostered innovative forms. She found his calling in another - to rely on those sources, which seemed closer its perception and vision. For painting of Orange typical feminine delicate, heartfelt and well thought-out transformation of pre-existing canon of style and personal reflection of its own inner world.

Over time, the artist's painting regained its freedom and looseness. Her hand "ran" across the canvas, without fear of leaving gaps and soil attached to the work of conceptual nature, light incompletion. Oranskaya wrote all kinds of people: representatives of the intellectual and artistic elite of the medium, old, lived a hard life for women and young girls and boys. Along with portraits of his contemporaries, a significant place in the work of Tatiana Orange took a self-portrait.

TA Oranskaya creativity devoted fifty years of his life, working until his last days. During these years she accompanied and happy, and the bitter events. She was friends with interesting and prominent people (eg, with Aristarchus Lentulov, a brilliant painter, one of the leaders of the new Russian art of the early XX century), has created many works, full of aesthetic artistry, inspiration and poetry. But we must not forget that in its heyday came during the war that she was not fortunate enough to live in their family and have kids. Her children were pictures of the artist that it's time to get behind the scenes of undeserved oblivion.
