NICKEL Lea (1918, Zhitomir, - 2005, Moshav Kidron ) , an Israeli artist. Winner of the Israel Prize in 1995 in the age of two parents was brought to Eretz Yisrael. She studied with Alexander and I. Stematskogo Shtrayhmana . Included in the "Group of Ten" (see Art plastic . Art Plastic in Israel). In 1950-61 gg. lived in Paris , traveled to exhibitions in the Netherlands and Italy. From 1961 she lived mainly in Safed , in 1977, settled in Moshav Kidron . Nickel - a significant representative of the second phase of the Israeli abstract art.
