Pavils Ilya A. (1873 - 1948)
Well-known representative of the Ukrainian foreign countries, painter and graphic artist. Born in Odessa. In 1892 he moved to Paris, he settled in Montmartre, where he lived all his life. Studied under Bouguereau and E. A. DETAILS. He painted impressionistic landscapes, genre scenes of street life of Montmartre, drawings executed pen. Exhibited in the salon on islands of French artists, Salon d'Automne and the Salon of Independent (1905 - 1906). In 1906 - 1929 held solo exhibitions in galleries G. Petit and Bernheim, 1933 - Gallery J. Charpentier. Received the silver medal Salon d'Automne (1930 and 1931). He was awarded the Order of Honor legiona.Gody Second World War had a daughter in Marrakesh. Presented at the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
