По умолчанию On the peculiarities of charity auctions

The holding charity auctions has become a fashionable trend of the last time: that they not only exposed - and the things celebrities, and their same okolohudozhestvennye works, and these works of art. Some even sold quite nice, all memory of the "pattern" Putin's hand, sold for a huge amount and made him one of the most expensive contemporary Russian artists.
Dissatisfied with such auctions, many, not only auction houses, but also by various organizations during their corporate events. The case something good, because the proceeds from such bidding shall be transferred to those in need (?), And a great PR move, let alone celebrities, paint, for example, Easter eggs, or provide their own boxing gloves, are quite happy - even when we obtain such a small effort to make good deed.
A couple of days ago a good friend of mine who works in a small gallery, told me the story that caused some confusion, which I want to share with you. He got a call from the auction house "Sovkom" (apparently, not to him alone) and offered to donate a few paintings for a charity auction. That's what I thought it strange, if you are the organizer of this auction and you have own a large collection (which, incidentally, do you regularly sell for just a penny at the dealer auction), what is preventing you form a catalog of the auction itself? Or your impulse to do good is not so strong as to fully assume the costs and you're trying to pass for a benefactor for others?

They did so, but there are also willing to hand. They just call up and inform so that you do not tell them, what I do not say, I'd also given a couple of things on this matter.
