Constructivism of Vladimir Shtraniha. 1920 - 1930

In Leonid Shishkin Gallery opens an exhibition of graphics by Vladimir Shtraniha - National Artist, chlenkora Academy, which took place as a recognized, impeccably Soviet painter, master of the epic landscapes and genre scenes. However, the exposition will appear completely different product Shtraniha - samples of early works 1920 - 1930, when the Russian book culture first appeared in the role of the founder and lawgiver of the new world of style - expressive, sharp in outline and paints constructivism, whose simplified and unified aesthetics covered almost the entire sphere of mass media propaganda. Shtranih Vladimir Fedorovich (1888-1981)

Born into a family, leading his family tree from Russified Livonian Knights Shtranihov. At the age of twelve he entered the Stroganov Art School in Moscow. As he worked as a decorator at the end of the Bolshoi Theatre under the direction of Konstantin Korovin, who always referred to their primary teacher.
He graduated from the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
The first years after the revolution holds in Smolensk. Participates actively in the socio-cultural life of the city, led by art studio Proletkult.
Since 1922 he lived in Moscow. Known as one of Moscow's leading painters of the time.
People's Artist of USSR (1978). Corresponding Member of USSR Academy of Arts.
Became known as the author of works devoted to Navy ("Before the regatta," Guarding the Motherland "," Corner of the Murmansk port ").
In 1959, in Smolensk the major solo exhibition of the artist. The works of Shtraniha presented at the Smolensk State Museum-Reserve.
